St. Vincent's St. Clair Hospital

St. Vincent's St. Clair hospital is in Pell City, AL. It is a 40-bed medical and surgical hospital right off Interstate 20 between Birmingham and heading towards Atlanta, GA. Provides general emergency care on site and cares about the patients in their community as well as travelers passing through on the busy Interstate Highway.

What you will do:

As the Manager of Pharmacy with St. Vincent's Health System-AL, you will have the opportunity to manage the daily operations of pharmacy services.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements performance improvement activities to include medication safety, medication use evaluation and pharmacoeconomics.

  • Conducts competency assessments and coordinates the training and development of pharmacists, pharmacy residents and pharmacy students.

  • Develops and manages departmental budget to promote pharmacoeconomics.

  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations. Also serves on various committees.

What you will need:

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):

    • Licensed Pharmacist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • Diploma

    • Bachelor's degree required PHARM-D Preferred

Work Experience:

  • 3 years of experience required.

  • 1 year of leadership or management experience required.

Preferred Experience

  • 2 years previous leadership experience preferred

  • Hospital Experience Preferred
