The Odell Trust is a day activity centre provider based in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, operating out of the Odell Centre.

Both of these exciting roles involve delivering social, leisure and recreational activities to our members aged 18+ who all have a learning disability or mental health issue.

Due to the nature of the activities, both post holders will be required to work at The Odell Centre for 35 hours per week Monday - Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm. However, there will be an expectation for the successful candidates to be flexible and undertake occasional weekend and evening work as required.

The successful candidates will require a current full driving licence to include entitlement to drive a minibus with up to 16 passenger seats (D1 on driving licence).

These posts are subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check (DBS).

Key Requirements will include:-

A proven track record in and an in-depth knowledge of Horticulture as you will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the Odell allotment and garden planting schedule. You will also need to have excellent woodwork and fishing skills and be able to deliver activities in these areas to our members. Additional practical skills in this role include a general aptitude and capability for DIY type jobs and experience and knowledge of resin casting and basic moulding processes, which while not essential, would also be advantageous in this role as would knowledge of keeping hens.

You will also be expected to help out as and when required on a wide range of other activities delivered to our members.

Key Requirements will include:-

A proven track record and a background in the field of Creative/Performing Arts. Pre-requisite skills and experience for this role include Drama, Music & Singing, Dance, Costume Design/Making and Arts & Crafts. The role includes engaging members in Drama, which will include writing scripts, directing weekly rehearsals and putting on productions. You will also be required to engage our members in weekly singing, musical, dance and art & craft activity sessions.

You will also be expected to help out as and when required on a wide range of other activities delivered to our members.

Salary: £19,945 per annum

Annual Leave: 36 days per annum (inclusive of Bank Holiday)

Position Type: Full-Time (Permanent) 35 hours per week.
